Much like “In You I Put My Trust” from Psalm 7, I just added music to the beautiful words of Psalm 5. I love David’s words “my voice You shall hear every (I used ‘every’, he used ‘in the’) morning Lord”. I want God to hear my voice and my song to Him every morning. I know I desperately need Him to lead me in His righteousness and make His way straight for me as I walk in His mercy every day!
I will come into Your house and sing of Your mercy
I will lift up my voice and sing of Your mercy
Give ear to my words
And hear my cry
My King and my God
To You I will pray, I will pray
My voice You shall hear
Every morning Lord
I will lift it to You
And seek Your ways, every day
Lead me Lord in Your righteousness, I worship You
Set Your way straight for me, I worship You
Lift my eyes, so I can see, only You, only You
I will fall upon my knees and sing of Your mercy
I will look at the cross and sing of Your mercy
Your mercy, Your mercy, Your mercy, to me
